Hausbook, operated by SiegHaus LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and role (homeowner, contractor, advisor, or other designations).
Property Information: Property owners and assigned advisors may provide property details including address, year built, square footage, system specifications, maintenance history, utility providers, insurance information, and improvement records.
Documents and Photos: You may upload documents, receipts, invoices, certificates, inspection reports, photos, and other files to the platform for record-keeping, analysis, and historical documentation.
Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, searches performed, actions taken, and timestamps. This data helps us improve the platform and understand usage patterns.
Contractor and Advisor Credentials: Contractors and advisors may submit licenses, certifications, insurance documentation, and proof of professional credentials.
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, generate analyses and reports, facilitate communication between property owners, contractors, and advisors, send transactional emails (account confirmations, report deliveries, verification notices, maintenance reminders), maintain data security and prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Property Relationships: Data on Hausbook is shared based on property relationships. Contractors can see properties they have been assigned work on or have submitted data for. Advisors can see properties they have been assigned to manage. Property owners can see all data on their properties.
Service Providers: We share information with service providers who assist us in operating the platform, including hosting providers (Supabase), email delivery services, geocoding services, analytics providers, and AI processing services (for report and document analysis).
Legal Requirements: We share information when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Hausbook, its users, and the public.
No Commercial Sale: We do not sell user personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.
Property Records: Property records submitted to Hausbook are retained permanently by design. These records belong to the property address and persist through ownership changes. The permanent property record is a core feature of the platform.
Account Data: We retain account information and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. When you request account deletion, we retain de-identified records as necessary for platform integrity and legal compliance.
Deleted Accounts: Deletion of your user account does not result in deletion of property records or data you submitted. Such data remains property of Hausbook and part of the property record.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, row-level security policies, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Access: You have the right to access your personal data and receive information about how we use it.
Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information you have submitted.
Data Export: You may request export of your personal data in a portable format.
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your user account. Please note that property records and data you contributed will remain on the platform as property of Hausbook.
Communications: You may opt out of non-essential communications. You will continue to receive essential transactional emails.

Supabase: We use Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and data management. Supabase processes your data according to their privacy policies.
Anthropic: We use Anthropic's AI services for report generation and document analysis. Data sent to Anthropic is processed to generate requested outputs and is not used to train models. We do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic.
Geocoding Services: We use geocoding services to verify property addresses and display maps.
Email Services: We use third-party email providers to deliver transactional communications.
We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and security. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.
Hausbook operates in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Hausbook, you consent to such transfers.
Hausbook is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
